For someone to be able to buy and sell stocks and shares the stocks and shares have to be listed in the stock exchange markets. 

The Stock Exchange is an important component of the capital market, 

which creates avenues for raising capital. And also a platform for financial investment. 

The stock exchange market makes sure  that every trading activity follows the established rules and regulations which are very cumbersome.

 Trading in the stock exchange market is strictly limited to members of the stock exchange only.
